This double LP set features a selection of music from across the āAgesā of the game, while sleeves are adorned with beautiful, historical artwork by the Firaxis team. Spanning human history and the entire globe, the soundtrack for Civilization VII is a hugely ambitious, impeccably recorded album of world & choral-orchestral music.
Christopher Tin opens the soundtrack with main theme āLive Gloriouslyā, sung in Ancient Greek, Old English, Kāicheā and Sanskrit by the Crouch End Festival Chorus. Tinās piece "Baba Yetu" ā the theme song for 2005ās Civilization IV ā made history as the first piece of video game music to win a Grammy Award. His compositions are known for their rousing, globally inspired soundscapes that have become emblematic of the Civilization series. In-game music cues were composed, arranged and produced by Geoff Knorr (Civilization: Beyond Earth, Civilization V & VI) and Roland Rizzo (Civilization II, III, IV, V, VI & XCOMĀ® series). These tracks feature performances by a huge diversity of ensembles and musicians recorded worldwide, including the Prague FILMharmonic Orchestra and Choir, Ensemble I Fedeli, Mongolian State Morin Khuur Ensemble, Southern Pine Drum Group, Wong Pleng
Khmer, and many soloists representing different musical traditions.
